Production has recently begun on the documentary I Wear The Veil. It is a first film for Writer and Director Natasha Ivisic. The documentary proposes a unique perspective on women who wear the Islamic veil in Canada. The film, produced and co-directed by Yanick Létourneau, will be broadcast in 2009 on RDI and Radio-Canada.
The short drama Three Mothers, Written and Directed by Daniel Schachter, is now completing post production. The short, first in Quebec to be shot with the RED in 4K, will be shortly traveling the festival circuit. The film will be broadcast on Tele-Quebec and CBC later in 2009. The short film is produced by Aisling Chin Yee with Yanick Letourneau exec producing. Three Mothers was the winner of the 2007 SODEC/FNC Court écrire ton court screenwriting competition.

This feature documentary will explore the changing face of Africa and America through this urban culture, having exclusive access to current voices and events, journeying with respected and well known hip hop artists and activists. We will discover a music and a culture which is empowering youths across borders and political affiliations, challenging globalization and rebuilding ties that had been severed by displacement, corporate greed and neo-imperialism.
